Hi, I am Pastor Mike Wallace and on October 1st I celebrated my one year anniversary at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Lakewood. Previously, I spent twelve years serving a dual parish (St. John, Kilkenny & Trinity, North Morristown) in rural southern Minnesota. Trinity had a K-8 grade school with about 35 students. I also helped start Cannon Valley Lutheran High School in Morristown which is now in its 10th year of operation.
While at Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois, I met and married my beautiful wife, Diana. Jonathan, our son, was born on our fifteenth wedding anniversary and is currently in Kindergarten at Lakewood Lutheran School. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports and watching television. Quirky crime dramas and science fiction shows are my favorites as well as historical documentaries. I used to enjoy remodeling our house in Parma but am tiring of it quickly.
Originally, I hail from Saginaw, Michigan but since moving to Ohio, I root for the Browns, Cavaliers, and Indians. I will not root for Ohio State though. Go Michigan! The best aspects of being a pastor is teaching people about their loving Savior and serving God's people in their time of need.
